Well, unless you are a student or have a sought after skill set it can be difficult to gain legal entry for an extended period.  If you are in a field that is in demand (Engineering, Teaching, Nursing, etc) you will likely be able to find work and your employer can help you get the necessary visa to immigrate to the US.  Otherwise I don&#039;t see much opportunity.  BTW, NYC can be a fairly expensive city to live in.
