I am considering hiring a moving company to move my things but have no idea how much it costs. I am moving within 5 miles of where I currently live and don’t need them to move too many things. Items I need moved are my bed, a dresser, bed table, TV, computer desk, coffee table and some other things like clothes, etc. If doing it myself I could fit everything in a small Uhaul and still have room. Any idea how much this would cost?

I am moving less than 3 miles away and have a 2 bedroom house, moving to a 2 bedroom condo (approx. 1400 sq ft). I am curious to find out how much moving companies charge for this. Has anyone recently done a move (locally) of about this size? Muchos gracias!

I am 18 years old and currently living in Indiana with my mom and her boyfriend. My boyfriend lived in Wisconsin and so I was planning on moving to Milwaukee with him and eventually going to school there. We’ll both be moving into the city without jobs right away but should have one within a month.

I’ve never moved out yet so I’m clueless to it all.
I want to move from Salt Lake Utah to San diego California.
It would be by driving. I only have a car so I’d probably need to rent something to carry anything big. All I’m planning on moving big is probably a couch, tv, table, chairs, bed, and like a vacuum or something.
How much all together should I be planning on spending for a moving trip like that?

I am planning on moving to New York City at the end of next year which by then I will have my bachelors degree of Fashion Design. I have visited NYC for couple of times and loved it. I know the cost of living is very high there. How can I calculate the cost of living in NYC so I can prepare myself before I make the move. Thank you for you advice!

I’m in Florida and I’m attempting to locate a moving company in OK that will go in and pack one room of belongings (clothes, a bed, and some boxes) and ship or bring them to my current location in Florida so I don’t have to buy a plane ticket to go back to OK or rent a moving truck. How can I find a company that offers this service? Anyone done this recently? Have any idea what it costs?

I am planning on moving and at the house I am currently living we had paid a $400 dollar pet deposit plus the security deposit of $550. Okay there is some damage to the house but not alot at all. The house is in good condition and the only thing that really needs to be replaced is a window that cracked during the winter. So my question is how do I go about getting some of my deposit back? Do I need to wait until after I move out and they review the house? How does this work?

My best friend and I are planning on moving out west for either this coming summer or the one after that. We are both ski instructors and are hoping to get jobs teaching skiing on the glaciers. We are both very accomplished skiiers so getting the job isn’t our worry its where we will live. Also, do you think anyone would let 2 17 year old girls move in?

Okay, I have a cat, and my boyfriend has one. In the future we plan on moving into an apartment together, instead of me moving into his house or him moving into mine. So we have a unique cat situation. We won’t be introducing cats to a house that already has cats. So not only will we have the trauma of a new house, but throw in a new cat as well. Neither of them will have the home field advantage. How difficult will this be?

My partner is a listed NY real-estate agent who is not practicing for the past 10 years. We are working on some properties in NY and so looking for sharing MLS listings with others for a fee. My question is it possible? And is it legal to do this?
