I am considering a relocation from the Bay area to Atlanta. I have never relocated before. What should I be thinking about and taking into consideration?
If any of you have done this move do you regret it?

My husband has been offered a new position with same company in a different state. (From Atlanta, GA to Scranton, PA)They have offered him $125,000. He currently makes $65,000 and combined we make $136,000 per year. In moving I will be giving up my great job, so is it ok to ask for them to at least give us enough to make up what I will be giving up? (meaning increasing offer to $136,000 per year?) ( I will be giving up contributing to my retirement and stocks in addition to my salary.) My husband says we cannot expect them to care about my salary, but I disagree, who is right here? I also think they should pay for a trip for entire family to check out this city before making a decision, isn;t this typical.? What other things should we consider and ask for in this decision? ( we own a home and have three teenagers).

Relocation to US which state ?
I and my wife are ready to relocate to US. Visas are ready.

Why don’t three failing (finacially) teams play in 3 cities that they could possibly relocate to for 3 Pre-Season games and 5 Regular season games. Doing this could get their feet wet on whether it would be a smart idea to go to that City.

I plan on moving to California from another state after I graduate college. I was wondering if I have to do anything to become a residence, do I have to change my licence plate/get a new licence?
How do I find a job/apartment before I actually move there?

I live in the UK at the moment and i am desperate to move to New York City. I don’t have much money and i have a partner and a baby daughter. I have one roommate and our lease is not officially up for another month. I will be moving out in just a few days though, while my roommate will still be here. What do I need to do to officially vacate? Just move all of my belongings out and take off?

My family is already planning on moving out to California, regardless of where I go to college. I want to go to Berkeley, but I understand that only like 9% of first-year students are from out of state. Will I be counted as a resident of California, if the rest of my family has a residence there when I apply?
